The Rethinking Forum 2018

July 27-29, Chicago, IL

Make plans to attend the only event of its kind in North America. The Rethinking Forum is an annual gathering of likeminded Alongsiders, presented by MARG. You will have the chance to talk with some of the leading voices in the field and fellow practitioners. Come share, network, learn, and grow.

Schedule

The conference will start at 9am on Friday July 27th and will end at noon on Sunday July 29th.

We will be at Loyola University in Chicago, IL. It is about 45 minutes from O’Hare and 60 min from Midway airports and is on the north side of the city.

You can choose from three registration options – overnight, commuter, or digital only.

For multiple attendees in a group, each person should register and pay separately. Spouses should also register separately. There is a $20 discount for a spouse – write to alongsiders@margnetwork.org to receive a unique code.

Agenda

• Contextualized Worship Forms
• US-born Hindus and their Faith
• A relook at the story of Naaman and its applications
• Testimony from a Hindu bhakta who operates a microfinance organization in Delhi
• Faith Shifting for Alongsiders and Bhaktas…

Overnight – $379

3 night accommodation (Thursday, Friday, Saturday). Accommodation is for a double sharing room.

6 meals

• Breakfast & Lunch on Friday
• Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner on Saturday
• Breakfast on Sunday

Extras

• There will be a $10 wifi charge per device, collected at check-in (plan to use your own data plans if you can).
• There is a $7/day charge for vehicle parking, collected at check-in (plan to car-pool, or get dropped off!).
• We will be going out into Chicago on Friday or Saturday night to visit the famed Desi corridor of Devon Ave. Bring cash for your meal that night.

Commuter – $165

Sessions start at 9:00am each day. Main sessions end at 5:30pm. Optional evening session will go to 8:30pm.

Digital – $75

If you are not able to travel to Chicago, you can still participate in the conference. If you sign up for the digital package, you’ll be invited to a private Facebook group where we will be live-streaming the presentations. You will have access to view the presentations and also add comments for discussions and questions.

In addition, you will also have access to the digital archives of the presentations after they are finished.

But you’ll miss out on the Devon Ave outing!
